Dianne continues to recover and our thoughts and prayers remain with Dianne and her family. Many would like to help the Gulau Family both inside and outside the soccer community. Important Announcement from East Lake Soccer and Palm Harbor Nighthawks

The Board of Directors of East Lake Soccer Association (ELSA) and Palm Harbor Nighthawks Soccer Club (PHNSC) are pleased to announce their agreement to cooperatively explore the benefits and work out the details for merging the two clubs in an effort to best serve the soccer needs of our member families in the North Pinellas, South Pasco, and West Hillsborough communities.

Ongoing discussions between representatives from ELSA and PHNSC are focused on the mutual goal of providing a professionally implemented soccer program, creating an exciting soccer culture, and improving soccer opportunities for every player at every level of interest and ability.  We will update you on matters as they progress and plan to have informational meetings for the clubs as soon as details are sufficiently developed.  After a period of due diligence, the membership of each club would subsequently vote on the proposed combination.

There has been a great deal of mutual respect between the clubs and we are all very excited about the potential of such a merger.  Anyone interested in volunteering for any of the subcommittees to be formed, please contact Steve Ballou (President, East Lake) at steve@seacoastinc.net or Marty Decker (President, Palm Harbor) at deckerfam5@yahoo.com.

East Lake Arsenal U17 Boys

Sunbowl Showcase Orange Division Champions

Printable FlyerThe East Lake U17 Boys Team has been on quite a tear the past 9 months. Some of the highlights:

  • 32 Annual Tampa Bay Sunbowl College Showcase December 2009 - Champions The team was the only local team in any age group to make the finals. They went undefeated against highly ranked teams from NJ, KY, GA and two FL teams. Over the 5 games, East Lake outscored their competition 8-2. Goal Keeper, Stephen Barna, was voted tournament MVP, and everyone on the team brought a winning attitude to make this happen.
  • USA League Tournament - Champions
  • SCCI Nike Cup - Semi Finalist
  • State Cup Round of 16
  • Palm Bay Classic - Champions

Many of these players, parents and coaches have been part of this since it's inception at the U10 age.
